Friday Fill-In

It’s the end of the week and the start of a new month–therefore, I’ve got a lot of random things to share with you. Let’s zip through this list so we can jumpstart our weekend, shall we?

1. I’ve replaced my Valentine’s Day header with a Spring-inspired one in hopes that sunshine, flowers, and blue skies are right around the corner. Pop out of your reader to check it out!

2. Healthy Living Summit is going to be hosted in the Twin Cities this year. If you’re not familiar with HLS, it’s a blogging conference to learn more about blogging, healthy living, and connecting with others that have the same passions as you. I will be attending and would love to see you there! Also, if you’re planning on attending and would like business / calling cards to hand out as you network with others, please contact me! I’d love to design a one of a kind card just for you!

3. It’s March 1st and that makes me very excited because it’s my birthday month and Parade of Homes starts this weekend! Andy and I are getting eager to check out all of the new homes in this Spring’s line up.

4. I had to renew my driver’s license the other day because I’ll be turning 25 in a few weeks. My friend Krystine and I were just discussing how this is the first birthday that we actually aren’t looking forward to. Seriously, where has the time gone?

5. I’m looking for a pale pink Essie polish for spring–what’s your go-to pink shade?

6. Tonight, Andy and I are hosting a casual evening with a few friends and I’m really looking forward to just hanging out and catching up with everyone. Call me crazy, but nights in with friends are one of my favorite activities and most of the time, I prefer it to going out.

7. It’s my friend Kara Lynn’s birthday today and I’d like to wish her a very happy birthday and I hope that 25 is her best year yet!

7. With that, I’m headed out to work on-location for a design project. I supposed I should fill you in on that sometime soon!

What are your friday night plans?
Would you rather have a night in or out with friends?

I’m right there with you – I would always choose a night in with friends! Last weekend I was back in Raleigh (I’ve moved recently) with my boyfriend and we went to a game night with some friends from college… SO fun!

  2. I love the new header! I meant to tell you that at the beginning of the week! Sometimes I like going out to dinner because we tend to spend a lot of time at home, but having people over is fun too!

Thanks so much! I agree–sometimes it just feels so good to get out of the house–especially when you’re cooped up because of the snow / cold.

I like nights-in too sometimes, it’s nice to relax and get casual with friends! And yes yes!! I want to hear about all of your on-location (and other) projects!

Hope I answered your q’s in my latest post! Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like me to cover–either in an email or a post!

  4. Nights in have quickly become my favorite. I really can’t wait for tonight….stopping at Whole Foods after the gym to snag something for dinner, and we plan on just laying on the couch, catching up on our week, eating, drinking wine, and watching TV. I really love those nights…..getting old! Although, I am really looking forward to celebrating three of our friends’ birthdays with a nice dinner in Philly Saturday. Makes times like that so much more special when you aren’t going out hardcore every weekend!

As for Essie pinks….check out A Crewed Interest. Also, Tart Deco is super pretty and even brighter, and Fiji and Ballet Slippers are the to best super-light pinks, almost whites. They look awesome when you are tan.

Those kinds of nights are my favorite. Low key and casual is right up my alley!

I have Essie’s Tart Deco but I will definitely check out the other pinks that you mentioned–can’t wait to give them a whirl! Thanks so much for the recommendations!

I prefer staying in, too! I hope the parade of homes was lots of fun for you and Andy! I love your new header :)

  7. I love love your header! I am about to need new business cards… ;)

I couldn’t tell you the last time my group of friends went out for a night. We tend to plan nights in with potluck dinners, drinks, and board games! I always prefer these type of evenings over outings.

My new fav pink polish is Sweet Talker from the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure line.

Those sound like such fun activities! I will check out the pink polish that you mentioned–thanks so much for the recommendation!
