July Books

There was one book that I loved this month and the rest were duds! Kind of a bummer, but you win some and you lose some! I'm hopeful that I can find more winners next month! You may check out my past book reviews by clicking here.

Let's start out with the winning book, shall we?

Big Little Lies // Liane Moriarty
This book was SO good! I plowed through this in one day while relaxing poolside! Such a good book with a great twist at the end. I tried the tv show afterwards, but wasn't a fan -- I gave up on it after three episodes. Read the book -- you won't regret it.

Those We Love Most // Lee Woodruff
This started out good but there were too many affairs going on and I felt bad for a lot of the characters. Wouldn't recommend it.

The Kind Worth Killing // Peter Swanson
This book felt too dark for my liking -- wouldn't recommend this either.

Santa Cruise // Mary Higgins Clark and Carol Higgins Clark
Normally I LOVE Mary Higgins Clark's books but this one featuring a coauthor had too many characters and felt too similar to another book of hers that I had recently read. Wasn't a fan.

Truly Madly Guiilty // Liane Moriarty
I just couldn't get into this one and ended up not finishing it. What a bummer!

Okay, I need some good recommendations for August! What books have you read and loved recently? I love personal development and thrillers / mysteries best!
