3. What month do you like to vacation?
Sometimes we'll go places for our anniversary (October), but otherwise February / March is usually my favorite since we're so over the cold and snow by that point!

4. Cruise: YES or NO?
Nope! Rooms are too claustrophobic for me and I prefer to be on land. :)

Hmm, depends on the trip! Probably prefer house / condo because then you can buy groceries and cook -- I always get so tired of eating out for every meal by the end of a vacation.

Spring Survey

I'm linking up today (even though it's a day late!) with The Blended Blog for their April survey!

static1.squarespace-6.jpg

1. What 3 colors remind you most of Spring?
Pink, Green, Yellow

2. What is the first thing you’d add to your wardrobe in Spring?
I need a few new shirts and some shoes! I ordered this shirt and this shirt the other day and was bummed to find out that they were cut a lot shorter than the ones I bought last spring -- I like my tees to be longer so that they can be worn different ways (knotted, tucked, etc.). I'm planning to exchange them this week for something else; however, I did order this blush colored cardigan in that same online order and I'm obsessed with it! Would highly recommend it!

3. What is the first wardrobe item you ditch in Spring?
Winter boots!

4. Who mows the grass where you live?
It's hired out

5. What’s Spring like where you live?
It's really a toss-up! Sometimes it's 65 and sunny in March, while other years we have snow until the end of April. We're currently under a blizzard warning and are anticipating up to 10 inches of snow by tonight.

6. What’s Your favorite thing about Spring?
Spring flowers, Easter candy, lots of trips to the arboretum, and warm weather!

7. Are you a Spring Cleaner?
I tend to clean all throughout the year -- I can't stand clutter!

8. Are you a Baseball Fan?
Nope!

9. Tulips or Daffodils?
Tulips are one of my favorite flowers!

static1.squarespace-2.jpg

10. Favorite Outdoor Spring Activity?
I love going for long walks outside and also enjoy waking up to hearing the birds chirping. Our winters are so, so long and spring is always welcomed with open arms around these parts!

11. Flowers in the Ground or in Pots?
Both!

static1.squarespace-4.jpg

12. Favorite Bird?
Any that chirp in the morning :)

13. Car Wash or Wash Vehicles at Home?
I typically go to the car wash

14. When Do You pull out Your sandals?
Usually not until May because our spring mornings are typically pretty chilly.

What's Up Wednesday #1

Today I'm linking up with a little survey -- these are always so fun to fill out! Enjoy!

What we're eating this week:
Watermelon! The last few that we've picked up have been perfectly ripe!

What I'm reminiscing about:
My short hair! I keep going back and forth on whether or not I should cut it off again. I feel like a short and sassy bob is more "me", but it's so nice being able to throw it all in a huge bun on top of my head at the end of the day.

What I'm loving:
Running early in the morning just as the sun is coming up -- it's such a refreshing and energizing way to start the day!

What we've been up to:
We've been going for lots of walks around the lake and really taking advantage of how "walkable" our city is. We can literally get groceries, see a movie, hit the library, go out to dinner, etc. all on foot throughout our neighborhood.

What I'm dreading:
These long stretches of humidity that the weatherman keeps predicting

FairFoodies-57.png

What I'm working on:
Some cute little fair food illustrations!

What I'm excited about:
The fact that fall is just around the corner -- I told Andy that I might cave and make homemade chili next week because it's been on my mind for the last two weeks.

What I'm watching / reading:
My sister got me hooked on Riverdale, so I've been watching that on my cardio days at the gym! As for reading, I just downloaded Everywhere That Mary Went by Lisa Scottoline onto my iPhone.

What I'm listening to:
This is my favorite song to run to lately!

What I'm wearing:
My favorite distressed skinny jeans and Madewell v-neck tees are my daily uniform in the summer

What I'm doing this weekend:
I've got a pool day with two of my friends on the agenda, and then we're hitting the fair with my sister and her little family as well!

What I'm looking forward to next month:
My bestie's bachelorette party + wedding and Andy's birthday! I love celebrating life events with those close to me and am literally counting down the days until each of these events!

What else is new:
While shopping with my friend Hanna, two weeks ago, she had her eyes on a pair of these adorable blush pink slip-on sneakers at the Steve Madden store. I happened to find a super similar pair for less than half the price while I was out and about at Target last weekend so I texted her a pic! She picked them up and now I'm seriously considering them because the color is so pretty and I love cute little slip-on shoes!

Bonus Question = What's your favorite thing about summer?
Pool days! Fresh Watermelon! Going for walks or runs early in the morning!

Pick a few questions and answer them in the comments below!
What's your summer uniform consist of?
I'm almost always in a basic v-neck or tank that I've dressed up with some jewelry.
