What's Up Wednesday #4

I just love this series because it's such a fun way to look back on the month! I'm linking up today to share What's Up on this Wednesday at the end of October!

What we're eating this week:
Still on the squash train -- acorn and spaghetti squash are making regular appearances in our grocery runs each week. I've also been bringing a big container of soup to work each Monday and then eating that all week.

Along with this, I bring bring little containers of chopped veggies (celery, carrots, cucumbers, peppers, along with a few olives) paired with homemade tzatziki -- it's the perfect snack!

What I'm reminiscing about:
I watched my nieces last weekend and it was so fun spending the day with them -- their little personalities bring me so much joy! The older one loves to cook / bake, and it's been so helpful to have her complete little tasks while I'm trying to cook dinner and entertain her little sister at the same time.

What I'm loving:
Everything about fall -- crisp jeans, cool air, colorful leaves, etc.!

What we've been up to:
Celebrating my new job, working, enjoying the season!

What I'm dreading:
The holiday season always goes so fast, and I always feel a little bit of a let down come January 2nd. In the past two years, I've made a lot of plans in January and February and that seems to help keep me busy during our coldest months of the year. In Minnesota, a few of our winter months are painfully cold, making it hard to do anything that involves going outside!

What I'm working on:
We're planning on moving in the spring, so I'm starting to go through some of our things to make packing / moving a little easier!

What I'm excited about:
One of our traditions that we started back in our early years of marriage involves putting up our Christmas tree right after Halloween. We always watch Home Alone the first night that the tree is up, too!

What I'm watching / reading:
I just finished this book and it was SO good! I used to love historical fiction as a kid but haven't read anything in that genre for quite some time now. The message of this book was such a great one and I love how the author wove it into a fictional story. Would highly recommend this book!

As far as watching goes, the Charlie Brown Halloween special was on the other night and you'd better believe I poured myself a glass of wine and enjoyed this childhood favorite.

What I'm listening to:
The new PVRIS album is so good -- I've been listening to it both at work and at the gym! Click here to check it out!

What I'm wearing:
I ordered these jeans since they didn't have my size in the store and they have easily become my favorite jeans! I'm planning to purchase them in another wash because the fit and cut is so perfect! They run true to size and are a thicker denim, which I prefer! I've never been a fan of thin jeans or ones that feel like leggings -- I want my jeans to feel like jeans.

What I'm doing this weekend:
Babysitting my nieces again! It's my brother-in-law's birthday, so I'm watching them so that they can go out to celebrate!

What I'm looking forward to next month:
Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday season!

What else is new:
I'd really like to send out Christmas cards this year, so I've begun brainstorming ideas and have started a list of those we'd like to send them to!
