Weekending Vol. 3

It was another full weekend in the books! On Friday, Fletcher and I headed out to pick up a gift for a friend — we didn’t end up finding what we were looking for so we read Halloween books at Barnes & Noble for a bit and then took a peek at the new Christmas ornaments that were just released at Hallmark.

We ended up going back on Sunday afternoon to pick up this one for Fletcher’s first Christmas since he has a little Pooh bear that he is obsessed with and has loved even since he was a newborn.

Later that afternoon, we met up with my auntie for a walk at the arboretum — the leaves are just starting to change around these parts and the crisp fall air felt so good as we walked around and chatted. Fletcher ended up napping for a good chunk of the walk — he was so cozy all bundled up in his stroller!

Later that evening, I headed out with two of my neighbor friends for a girls’ night — we went to a local winery and the girl time was just what I needed. I left feeling so refreshed!

The next morning, we headed to a Halloween party hosted by our real estate agents — it was chilly and drizzly but it was fun to dress Fletcher up in a costume (photo to come!) and participate in the activities. We also left with a few pumpkins, so we can cross that off our fall list as well!

Afterwards, we ran a few errands and ended up popping into West Elm. We found the perfect rug for our dining room but weren’t sure which size would look best so we left with the one that was in stock and tried it out at home. We decided that the larger rug would look better, so we ended up taking it back the next day and then ordering the 6x9 ft version since that one wasn’t in stock. It should be here by the end of the month and I’m so excited to roll it out under our table! Then, we just need a centerpiece, artwork for the walls, new curtains, and a new light fixture before our dining room is complete. One thing at a time, ha ha! This whole interior decorating thing has been a lot harder than I imagined — I think we are just really picky with what we put in our home.

We also swung by the new Restoration Hardware gallery that just opened last weekend.

Oh my goodness, it was amazing. Three floors of showrooms plus a rooftop coffee bar and full restaurant.

I wanted to move in, asap!

The next morning, we hit the road bright and early to our favorite orchard!

Fletcher got to experience his first hay ride! He was a little unsure at first since he had just woken up from a nap in the car and it was really windy on the hayride.

He loved seeing all of the animals at the orchard!

Little Gus Gus was all snuggly in his new winter jacket and fuzzy hat!

It was so fun to return to this orchard with our baby in tow! The last time we were at this orchard, we were just talking about starting to house hunt and now we have a house and a baby — crazy how much can change in just a couple of years!

I’m thinking this might need to be an annual tradition for us!
