Winter Forever

We always joke that our Minnesota winters last forever, but this year has gone down as one of the worst.

We didn't get a true snowfall until after Christmas, and we keep getting blizzards and January-like temps in April. I don't know about you, but I'm SO over it -- and that's coming from someone that typically loves winter.

We stayed in on Friday night due to the cold temps -- Andy rented the new Jumanji movie and I gave myself a manicure while we watched it. Andy enjoyed the movie but I thought it was just okay -- I was talking to my sister about it and she mentioned that she didn't really love comedies. This was a light bulb moment for me because I've never really realized it, but I really don't enjoy comedies either. Thrillers are definitely more of my thing!

I headed out to the library bright and early on Saturday morning to pick up a few new books and then made my way over to my sister's house. She has one of those letter boards hanging in her kitchen and always updates it with the funniest sayings.

I hung out with the girls for a bit and then my sister made M&M cookies using our favorite recipe. I swung by the gym on the way home but was just not feeling it -- I didn't sleep well on Friday night, so after tinkering around with weights for about 10 minutes, I did 30 minutes on the elliptical and called it a day.

For the rest of the evening, I relaxed while catching up on a few shows from the week. While Andy was out returning the movie, he texted me to ask me if I wanted Chipotle. Twenty minutes later, this bowl of goodness arrived. I always order the salad bowl with black beans, fajita veggies, 2 scoops of pico, hot salsa, sour cream, and extra lettuce.

On Sunday, I whipped through two library books, did a bunch of laundry, made a return at the mall, and helped Andy out with a project. Our Sundays are usually our "relax and get ready for the week" days, so we try to keep them pretty open!
