September Goals

I don't know about you, but I've always viewed September as my "fresh start" for the year as opposed to January. It's been almost 10 years since I've been in school, but my brain still seems to follow an academic calendar when it comes to a new start for the year!

That being said, I'm excited to chat about my September goals, but first let's check in on how I did on my August goals:

1. Protect my shoes + boots for fall
Done! Thanks to this handy kit and protective spray!

2. Solidify our fall schedule
Done! It's going to be a busy season for us with book club, my small group, a couples' small group, taking a class at church (more on this later), Andy teaching design classes two nights a week, and our weekly date night! However, we've got it all on the calendar and are looking forward to all of these activities!

3. Look into joining a couples' small group
Done! We found one that my friend is starting and we'll begin to meet in early November! We're both really looking forward to it!

4. Chop off my hair
Done! I'm loving my new 'do so much!

5. Update my Goodreads account
Done! Check out my account here!

September Goals:

1. Dermatologist Appointment
I had a full-body scan last July without any areas of concern, so I technically should be good for the next couple years, according to my dermatologist. However, I noticed a little mole pop up recently so I'd like to get it checked out just for peace of mind.

2. Journal
This is something I used to do regularly but have fallen off the wagon with it. I'd love to make this more of a daily thing rather than a spur of the moment whenever I think of it activity.

3. Organize My Computer
I'm a fairly organized person, but lately I feel like my organization system I've been using for all of my digital files isn't working for me. I'm looking to revamp my organization method and put each and every file in its proper place so that I can work more efficiently.

4. Black Trench Tailored
I purchased this black trench coat while in Rome and loved it so much! Unfortunately, it hasn't fit me since college since I'm smaller than I used to be. With the colder weather months approaching, I'd love to get this tailored so that I can actually wear it!

5. Slow Down
August was a busy month and I didn't take the best care of myself. I overcommitted myself on more than one occasion and felt a little run down towards the end of the month. September - December is my favorite time of year and I'd really like to put effort into slowing down and savoring this upcoming season.

What's something you'd love to accomplish this month?
What month signifies a "fresh start" for you?
